While I haven't had an NDE I have had an OBE while I was sleeping. It happened at a friends house when I was spending the night. I saw things that I would have had no way of knowing about and upon waking up confirmed that what I saw was accurate. If this had happened in my own house I probably would have brushed it off as a dream since I am typically a skeptical person. I wish I could somehow show my experience to people but because it's a subjective experience, I can't. Just know that these experiences are 100% real and have nothing to do with drugs, or lack of oxygen in the brain, nothing to do with seizures, and they are not hallucinations. These are real and everything is going to be okay.

An interesting discussion on the disconnection between the soul and the body. For those whose experience is an NDE, the people come back sometimes to give their report. For those who permanently leave this world, there is but meager feedback and always via mediums of one sort or another. One fairly well known account is William Stead who went down on the Titanic in 1912. Stead was a prolific writer in the U.K. and an even a better known journalist. In a couple of novels in the 1880s he predicted the situation of the Titanic. After his death, in contact with his daughter, a medium was found who through automatic writing, wrote "the Blue Island'. He describes in over 160 pages the process of leaving the earthly realm towards a more spiritual one. In general, one's experiences in life are so varied, it would sense that our leaving the physical body might have a great number of types of our shedding this physical aspect. An interesting and necessary topic to reread personal accounts of NDEs or similar out of body experiences. Thank you! The "Blue Island" is still in print.

Yet another great interview. In my opinion, Thanatos is the top NDE site on YouTube. I read the Tibetan Book of the Dead when I was 16 yrs. old back in 1966. Since then I've read dozens of books about NDEs and seen hundreds of YouTube NDE interviews. Over the years I've been fortunate to bear witness to several NDEs told to me by some very close friends and my wonderful father. By paying strict attention to their stories I have memorized their vivid details and have found them to have strong similarities. I never tire of NDE stories and love talking about them. Thank you!

Loyd Auerbach, a paranormal researcher, recounted an encounter with a deceased woman (through a teenage boy he was speaking through) in which she was reported to look sometimes like an old woman, and sometimes quite young. Sometimes she wore a certain dress, and at other times, other, different dresses. He asked the boy to ask her how she could look so different at different times, and she replied to the boy, and thus to Loyd, that it just depended on how she chose to appear on any given day. Sometimes she felt like looking older, and sometimes younger, just like feeling like dressing this way or that.

There are multiple energy bodies or vehicles of the Soul. The Soul itself is a spark of the Divine and located deep inside the heart. The problem is, the Soul center is blocked and dormant in most people, lest they should experience awakening, which is extremely difficult. I am an awakened Soul. This knowledge comes with awakening. There is the etheric body or the "double". This is the first body above the physical biological body. There is the astral body or subtle body. The next highest is the Causal Body. The highest body vibration wise is the Spirit or Light Body. We are in fact multi dimensional beings and we live in a multi dimensional Universe. The Divine is All in All.

I wonder if near death experiences of the blind have been studied as well. And if so, do they stay blind in their near death experience or do they gain the ability to see. I suppose an important distinction would also involve whether the person having the near death experience was born blind as opposed to someone who may have actually had vision earlier in their life and then became blind later.

As far as being physical or non physical..from what I’ve read and understood through NDEs and Books about reincarnation the soul/spirit can change into different forms depending on one’s intentions.

The guy you were talking about in the hospital who could perceive everything that is not a near death experience that’s simply an out of body. I’ve had that when I fainted.

If you look at life in linear way like you've been trained to do you will see a soul or choose not to, but if you look at life by concentrating on being in the moment by meditation you will see life cannot exist in any moment other than now. This over extension of the moment by being in the dreamy earthly state is your problem, its time to wake up!

I have never had a Near Death Experience but I tend to think there must be some level or quantity, even if in a small amount, of physical form carrying and containing our Being or Soul. Yet my fear is the absence of air and breathing.
I have listened to over 300 Near Death Experiences on various YouTube channels yet I have never heard anybody talking about the need to breath.

I'm reluctant to call it a "soul" but after having a number of OBEs i can say without doubt that consciousness can transcend the body. I am not sure why we have no perception or memory pre-birth (perhaps one needs to be regressed to remember our previous lives), but all the evidence points to a transcendance of awareness beyond the physical body. I am lucky I regularly have OBEs and Lucid Dreams so I know beyond doubt these experiences are real.

I'm surprised we're having this conversation in 2024. After 20+ years of NDE's, 40+ years of regression therapy and of course 'Seth Speaks.' Humanity can conclude that yes, people and animals all have souls, spirits personalities that survive the end of the body. The one question I think we should be researching, is what happens when the cord is cut, and we move on?
