Honestly, the name is a bit of an oddball, since "quorate" is a word in English. If you know that it's a play on the meaning of the Latin word and not the English word, it does make a little more sense, but when I try to look up what the latin word means on a source that isn't Quora itself, I can't find the high-minded definitions that are frequent on Quora.

It takes a profound arrogance to think "I know what the people want, lazy unedited footage of ME talking into a microphone." We're on YouTube for scripted content with production value. Podcasts are a completely different app, one without a visual component. These lazy podcast videos are an insult to the well-produced and most importantly well-WRITTEN content here on Cracked.
