Careful Charles, if your technique keeps improving at this rate you’ll tear a hole in the bass-time continuum. Magnifico!

This is some of the finest bass playing I have ever heard. I've been into rock, blues, r&b, funk and jazz for over 50 years and this guy is among the very best bass players ever.

I absolutely love his videos. I've been a rock drummer all my 66 years and always paid attention to basslines and always admired people that could step outside the stereotypical function of their instrument, but he's freaking unbelievable on the base, phenomenal👍👍👍👏👏👏

Strings don't play by themselves. I play the flute. I remember a time when I complained about my student flute because I couldn't play a difficult passage. My teacher took it out of my hand and played the passage perfectly and said to me: "It's not the flute. It's time and dedication."

Actually the correct title would be “I sound great and these gold strings are an added bonus!” Love playing your bass jams on my commute to uni🤟🏽 Edit: WOW This is a crazy amount of likes! True testament to the knowledge and strength of Charles's fanbase.

Perhaps I just haven't heard enough bassists, so I can't say it one of the best pieces I've heard. It's THE best piece I've ever heard. Spectacular.

You don't need gold strings to sound great Charles, you are incredible just by yourself.

Finally, something to which the word "fantastic" can be truly applied. Beyond belief! Fabulous!! You use the gift extremely well. THank you, Charles.

Nice strings and all, but I think this guy's talent is what we're all really marveling at

I am under the impression that they were standard bass strings that turned to gold after you played them. Incredibly awesome playing as usual!

I have jammed with a lot of different people over the last 45 50 years. Played in bands work and recording studios with some insanely good bass players. This guy is on another level. That's all I can say I mean holy crap...

I’ve been playing bass for 20 years and my jaw is on the floor right now. The legato and sheer accentuation of the notes was absolutely incredible. That tone was also unbelievable.

This would earn a smile and a nod from any of the great bassists I've ever heard. Stanley Clarke would take a real liking to this. Fantastic playing, sir. Listening to that was a treat.
