Weezer was never beloved by everyone, but they haven't always been a joke either. One album was the catalyst to this universal malice. That album is Make Believe. I'm summing up the making, meaning, and memory of the album in this video. It's ties to Elliot Smith, Shrek 2, Maladroit, the Green Album, the Blue album, and Pinkerton.

I spent 2 months researching, writing, rewriting, recording, rerecording, and editing this video. If you enjoyed, please consider liking and subscribing. I know I've got no videos at the moment. But, when I do, they'll be great. If you've got anything you wanna say after watching, please leave it in the comments below.

I wouldn't even bat an eyelid if Rivers was revealed to sleep in a racecar bed

Blue album: I think I’m in love Pinkerton: You’re starting to seem a little weird snd needy, but you’re good looking, so I’ll overlook it Green album: Thos isn’t working anymore. I think we should see other people Maladroit: Maybe I was too hasty. I’ll give you one more chance Make Believe: Contact me again and I’m calling the cops

I actually kinda like Make Believe, i just think: This is Such a Pity, Perfect Situation, The Damage in your Heart, Hold Me, The Other Way, Haunt you everyday, and some demos are really REALLY great.

I lived in denial of make believe for a long time. I just recently went through another massive Weezer phase and now I’m starting to actually enjoy it a lot more. Pardon me is a good song, perfect situation is great, and haunt you every day is beautiful

When I was a studio intern I actually delivered the 1/4" master tapes with Beverly Hills and a couple other songs to Rick Rubin's house which had the scariest steep driveway. Apparently the album ended up using a different a mix for Beverly Hills, which ended up on the video and my boss was kind of pissed. But I literally held part of that album in my hands and gave it to Rick's assistant. Unfortunately, the song quality was out of my control.

I love almost all Weezer. This is a lower tier Weezer album for me, but there's so much good stuff. I found myself singing along so many times in this video.

I bought Pinkerton on release day back in ‘96. I bought it after school at the Target across the street from my high school. I loved it then, and I love it now!!

I liked Maladroit. It was like the blue/green albums with a much harder edge. But I like lots of things that other people don't.

Man, I knew people didn't like Make Believe, but I didn't realize it was hated as much as it is. It's been my favorite Weezer album since I heard it back in 2005

Watched this video thinking you were a relatively popular channel, but you only have 11 subs? Your editing is great, and it's obvious that you put a lot of work and research into this video. I hope to see more content from your channel! :)

I was genuinely shocked by how few subscribers you have, a video with this much work, research, and editing feels like it would be made by a channel with like 300k subs, this is really great content and i really hope you blow up in the near future. I would say good luck but honestly with videos this well made and researched i dont think you need luck. Not even very interested in weezer myself but you kept me interested the whole 23 minutes, great job and i cant wait to see what else you have in store.

Watching videos like this make me realize that Weezer has A LOT of music that hasn’t been released.

A really excellent video, I never looked into the history of this album and I never realized how interesting it is. The video is also presented in a really entertaining way with good writing and editing which only made it even better. Love it!
