We like to use 油管 to say youtube in Chinese. The real word 油管 actually means "oil pipeline". Cus "You" has the same prononcation “油“ in Chinese. Pipe and Tube all have the 管 meaning.

Korean is a phonetic language, Japanese may be an ideographic language when using Chinese characters, but it is completely phonetic when using katakana and Hiragana, and Chinese is an ideographic language. When using Chinese characters to form words, in addition to the meaning of the word as a whole, each Chinese character also has its own independent meaning. For example, "天赋" as a whole means talent. If you take this word apart, "天" means sky, heaven and supreme, "赋" means giving.
