its only now - looking back to Wham you realise they were operating on a different frequency - the vibe, the energy, the image, the lyrics of their music....they were in the flow , vibrating Love and joy and it pervaded all those who adored them. This culminated on the 28th of June 1986 - in 56 years on this planet I cant recall a more heavenly, beautuful day - 80,000 people coming together on this frequency - I'll never forget that day . If only the world could tap into that energy field now.

I find it amazing that he was 19 or 20 years old here, depending on the time of year this was done in 83. He was born in June of 63. His ability to sing, use the microphone, and dance, and give a flawless performance as if he has been doing this for years....just flabbergasts me. It goes to show that he no doubt put in a lot of practice, and had a lot of natural talent and ability. Not every person who desires to be a performer, singer, song writer makes the right choice of dropping out of school to pursue a career. Clearly, GM chose the right path.
It is a shame he became so vulnerable to depression and stress that he allowed himself to use harmful drugs. This is what definitely shortened his life. The marijuana and cocaine caused damage to his heart and kidneys, he wound up with Congestive heart failure. This is why he died so young at age 53. My own grandmother, who never did drugs, lived with congestive heart failure and stage four kidney failure for more than 20 years, lived to be 97!
While she did smoke for some 35 years, she quit cold turkey one day, never went back to it. She never drank much except for an occasional glass of wine. She beat cancer six times! She loved music, sang, played piano and keyboards and did barbershop singing too. I miss her dearly. AS for me, I was born in December of 62--and love music, singing and also write songs. I focused my talents more in the gospel arena, singing at church. I really did not want fame and fortune. I was afraid of that, as what does it profit a person to gain the whole world, wind up forfeiting their soul? I miss GM RIP George!
