One of the most beautiful short series I’ve ever seen. The uncanny attention to details in the delivery of their emotions, the way both actors were able to understand each other, acting wise, what a beautiful portrayal of their characters. This scene 4:10 is tearjerker. The way Hyun is about to lie, but then you show just that 4:15 that “Just friends” 4:22 uttered with teary eyes and Dong Ho saying back the exact same words 4:29 that hurt him as well, because it’s painfully obvious they like each other, but Dong Ho is feeling dejected there, he was all hopeful waiting to see if what he read was about him 0:56 but he was just as scared as Hyun, both not wanting to admit each other’s feelings as they might feel they could be losing one another and I’m glad Dong Ho couldn’t stay there and pretend 4:45 because yes, he read the diary and he asked, so it was time for Hyun to be the one admitting that it was a lie and that it’s about Dong Ho. The way the confession was delivered was heartwarming 6:58 and the warm and subdued colors of the night, the sounds, the soft voice, everything is perfect. Hyun pouring out his feelings in the open 7:02 and not being afraid and anxious anymore and he didn’t stop, not even when Dong Ho talked 7:18 he had to tell him everything, even if his voice was breaking a little 7:28 but there’s this slight smile and his features are softened 7:38 you can tell he’s doing this for himself as well, it was too sad harboring so much 🥺 and the last detail, “You’re late” 8:27 and how we know that’s Dong Ho, because he was always late, but Hyun’s bright smile is very telling that the one he’s looking at is the person he has always loved, Dong Ho 😭 Thank you for this one. It’s so precious and it holds a place in my heart already
