These episodes are kind of odd ones to me, to be honest. I do like the additional background for the syndicate stuff, but these episodes, maybe because there are two of them in a row, almost makes it feel like "No, I didn't want THAT much syndicate!"...if that makes sense? It just kind of makes them feel a bit more detached from everything else for an extended period of time as a result. I don't particularly know how I would have done it better and got just as much information in, but it's how I feel.
Through modern eyes, I'm also not sure how to feel about the whole Gren thing tbh. It's a bit of an idea out of time at this point, but I'm not particularly the type of person that goes out of their way to take these sorts of things outside of the context of their time. I'm not at all saying that this "sets me off" or anything like this but I don't know...it certainly wouldn't be done the same way these days is all.
Not bad, but also not my favorite set of episodes, even though I appreciate the work that they do. Bounty? If our baseline is 40,000 I will go copy Sushi and also go right on the money with 40,000. It's FINE, I just wouldn't particularly elevate these episodes in any way.

Late to the party, but I gotta say - Jupiter Jazz is right up there with my favourite bebop episodes. Gren was an incredible character, and while I'm angry at the live action abomination, what they did to Gren was simply atrocious. The actor was PERFECT, but they completely and utterly fucked it. So, so mad. lol.
