Its quite difficult for us men to understand the troubles that so many girls and women go through regarding weight and looks. Mainly because most men who want to look like models have to exercise and do things that actually help the body in the long run.
I never understood the problems of girls about looks but after hearing this song, I wish the best for every woman on the planet to be happy with who they are regardless of their looks and a strong recovery for anyone who suffered from trying to look a certain way.

If 14 year old me and society had heard this song i might have never developed the eating disorder that still eats at me today.ive listened to this song 10 times already and I can't even get to the end without bawling my eyes out even though it's such an upbeat, uplifting masterpiece. May future generations never forget this song<3

"Your skin isn't paper, don't cut it Your neck isn't a coat, don't hang it Your body isn't a book, don't judge it Your life isn't a movie, don't end it Your heart isn't a door, don't lock it Remember to always love yourself no matter what you come against" (This is not my word, I'm spreading it to the 1% and now its your turn)

I've always been under weight (61 pounds when I was 13) and I went through a growth spurt. I thought I was fat after that. I started to stop eating, I worked out more, and when I did EAT, all I ate was vegetables and fruit. This song helped me appreciate my body. Thank you so much Jax, you saved my life!!!

Saw this live last night, she really killed it, and toward the bridge, had some girls from the audience sing a line each of the chorus, including some who were younger kids. I couldn't believe the conviction so many of them sang with, how not only did they know the lyrics perfectly, but they really seemed to believe them as well.
kinda brought me to tears, the idea that some girls are growing up so confident in the messages so many of us needed as kids. I've struggled with my body for so long, and only now am I remotely comfortable showing any skin. I hope this helps even a few kids remember that their bodies are normal, and worth loving.
