Such a great track and such a great video! This is my personal interpretation:
The protagonists cross paths the first time at the beginning of the evening, both from different walks of life but both very lonely in their own way. When their eyes catch each other they get this electrifying feeling that you sometimes get with some people, but neither of them acts on it and they both continue to go about their evening but keep thinking of that moment. She goes partying and he goes about his "business" of selling drugs.
Later at the club he gets busted and dragged in front of the club for selling bad or cut drugs, she finds herself in front of the club because of an overdose or maybe even his bad drugs. For a second their eyes catch each other again before she collapses and he has to continue defending himself, this time the situation preventing any of them acting on it.
Then we se him driving home and her in the ambulance, both dreaming about a better, happy life with the other, ending their loneliness. But ultimately they both keep living on their same old lives, both lonely in their own way. She because ultimately her life despite being in a secure social situation feels empty and meaningless, he because of the life of crime and insecurity his social circumstances brought him into. And all they have of each other are these two short moments where their eyes caught each other that made them dream of a better life.
