After last week's video discussing things we do not like about living in Germany, we thought it would only be fair to talk about the things we love! There isn't a perfect country and there are pros and cons to each based on personal preferences! We hope all of these aren't taken too seriously! Which country do you live in and what do you love about living there?

I've been there a few times and I Love visiting Germany. After my last trip I seriously considered moving there. Cost of living is so low and quality of life is so high are the practical reasons but it really is beautiful and clean and very safe... Love it there. I'm from Oregon in the US

People's friendliness! If you're old or pushing a stroller or using walking aid, people will get out of their way to open a door for you, carry something or give you their seat. I twisted my leg a few years ago and visited France (my home country), no one offered me their seat while I was struggling with a suitcase and crutches while in Germany everyone was looking out for me. Don't take that for granted!

When I lived in Germany, we didnā€™t have a car for 3-4 years. We biked/ took the train/ walked everywhere. Or the bus! I miss public transportation. I live in OK, and everything is so far away from each other. I drive 30 minutes one way to get to work.

I love the nature in Germany. I once was at a place called Bastei. It's near Dresden and it's really beautiful. It doesn't matter if you're from Germany or not. Visiting that place is one of the best things i've ever done. I highly recommend it.

I love how Germany is so pedestrian friendly. Also the 2yr maternity leave.

I lived in Germany for 7 years in Weiderstadt neer Darmstadt, I loved every minute of it and enjoyed the diversity of it. I made a mistake by moving back to the states. The travel was great and fun, the best to the both of you.

I am literally binge watching your YouTube videos because I will be going to Germany for the first time in my life in 10 days, we will be staying for 10 days to enjoy the beautiful country and your videos have been helping my anxiety iā€™ve learned from so much your channel. And one of the things Iā€™m most excited about is coffee and cake time, I am really looking forward to that. Thank you for all of the educational videos on your beautiful country. Even though itā€™s not perfect šŸ˜‰. šŸ˜‚

It's true that Germans love to complain about Germany. šŸ˜‚ Lived and worked there for two years, and my girlfriend is German (though she doesn't complain about it). I feel like a lot of Germans don't really know how good they have it. My girlfriend and I have lived in 9 countries together, and the quality of life, especially while living/ working in Germany, is amazing. I used to work as a chef. In Canada, my home country, employers would intentionally give us less than 40 hours so that they didn't have to pay benefits. Pay was terrible, vacation was almost non-existent and even sick days were looked down upon. In Germany, I had 5 weeks paid vacation, could take sick days without issues and got much better pay. I could easily afford daily life, while also going on quick trips to surrounding countries for next to nothing. It really is an amazing place to live.

I like the cleanliness and forests. Germany is 32% natural forest and it makes for a beautiful countryside. Australia (were I live) is expensive and the quality of most things is poor.

Things are more expensive in the US, but you also get paid more. Itā€™s all relative.

Hi you two! Thank you for this very informative video. I thought about a dish my wife and I, had while visiting Madison Wisconsin, we were both born in Wisconsin. Being in Germany you guys might have already had this, but just in case you haven't, here goes. This is a very loose description as I don't have a recipe for it. Okay, take a bratwurst, and remove the meat from the casing, form into patties and fry them, poach an egg for each of you, make a slightly mustardy hollandaise sauce, toast up some dark rye bread and build an eggs benedict for each of you, absolutely delicious. Enjoy, when I remembered this dish I thought of you two nice people. Take care! šŸ˜€

Lived most of my life in Gainesville Fl, where driving anywhere was constant bumper to bumper traffic and lights. Then we moved to Richmond, Va, where there's hills and curves and tons of country roads, and driving was actually fun. I kind of miss fun driving, but yeah, not having a car is liberating. No worrying about traffic, parking, or falling asleep at the wheel because I've done too much in a day.
