Also worth remembering UKIP won a bunch of EU parliament seats, and not only did they not do any work as "protest" (except voting for legislation they liked, and also teaming up with far-right parties to get EU money) they also represented the UK in various industry bodies like fishing, but didn't attend meetings - so the UK had no voice and representation there whatsoever. And then positioned themselves as champions of those groups against the terrible EU that was ignoring their plight. Straight up racketeering, Farage knows his grift

People felt Europe was responsible for their services being run down. It wasn’t, it was the Tories austerity policy. We protested against austerity and cuts but most people bought the deluge pumped out by the tabloid press on ‘Brexit’.

Gibraltar is another problem that everyone seems to forget, because that area has a border with Spain. Gibraltar did enter Schengen but it remains outside EU. I don't remember if Gibraltar was inside EU to start with, because when UK was a member of EU, then Gibraltar was a OMR area (Outermost Region of the European Union) and they were able to chose what EU law applied. That is why there was a border check into Gibraltar for the longest time.

Farage knows nothing; The European Court of Justice (That deals with EU law) is in Luxemberg City not Strasbourg, The European Court of Human RIghts (which has no relation to the EU) is in Strasbourg which we are still a signatory to. How can you have been a MEP for so long and not know the difference.
