I know I'm 3 years late here, but wow, what a beautiful diamond to be found in the darkness. I experienced a breakdown about 2 years ago and fell down the bottomless abyss. Like countless others, I could not find the proper help I so desperately needed. We were in the middle of a pandemic. I had to somehow survive as I found myself marching down death's corridor completely alone. Before the breakdown, i was aware of a feeling of not wanting to live. After the breakdown, this changed to a feeling of wanting to die. Trust me, there is a difference. I started experiencing hearing myself prompting me to die to the point I started fighting a fight for my life. I came face to face with my enemy every time I looked into a mirror. My tiny little teacup pomeranian, "foxy," became my last handle to life, I just needed to hold onto her.
And so i struggled through the suicidal phase of the breakdown. I am here now, writing this. This means I survived. I can add to my resume of trauma, surviving suicide, but no one really knows this apart from me and now you if you are reading this. Ending one's own life is not as easy as one thinks, it is not your own life's past that flashes before your eyes at that point of no return. It is the life's future of those that love you that you see, and their pain keeps you waking to another agonising day. I apologise if this is way too deep. People with severe depression tend to deep dive the ocean of thought, deep into the dark depths. But there are beautiful gems umongst the devils and demons to be found in the darkness. I do not know if deathbyromy writes her own lyrics, if she does, then she has experienced what I am talking about. It is art like this song, poems, paintings and stories that are the gems to be found in the depths.. DeathbyRomy is a diamond from the dark. 🖤🪬💎
