Also, this video almost wasn't published because my microphone broke during the filming, capturing bits and pieces of audio and it was like someone pressing the mute button randomly mid-sentence for a second. It was a hella lot of a lot of audio fixing and I lost 30% of the footage as it wasn't useable at all. BUT I THREW THAT MIC OUT ANGRILY!

I love that Japan loves baseball.
When I lived in Japan, it was crazy to drive around town and see Baseball stores, billboards and people wearing baseball jerseys. I would go to the parks and see pick-up baseball games. It’s just wild because Baseball is such an American sport, it essentially defined early America and nobody likes anything America does. I think in America and Japan are very similar in a lot of ways. We have this very interesting bond too and it’s hardened by the share love for Baseball.
I love & miss Japan.

I went to Yokohama for the Rugby World Cup when it was in Japan and the beer girls were *overwhelmed*. I don’t think they expected the level of beer that rugby fans can drink. They did so well though and were so lovely and enthusiastic. The atmosphere was great and so friendly. Thanks for sharing the baseball experience with us Martina!

Outside of sports, I read that every province has their own representative mascot that also acts as outreach to support local businesses, which is super endearing.
