EVERYTIME I hear this song it just grabs my heart & I lose it. I fell in love when I first heard it &now it has so much more meaning since my sister passed away on 8-20-10. She was only 18yrs old & not only did she leave us behind but also her 9 month baby. Nothing that happened is right & I miss her more & more as the days go by. We could've been closer & thats all I was waiting for was the chance & now she's gone & I'll never get it. I miss you & love you so much Kaila. Fly high Angel! We <3 U

i totally love this song! I've lost many friends along the way (not death thank goodness), but this is why I try to live my life as much as I can. You never know when God chooses your time, so enjoy life as much as you can- even if you don't die young. :)

My best friend died June 18, 2010 in a train wreck. She was driving. This song really helped me get through it. I still have hard times. R.I.P. Emily. Gone but NEVER forgotten....

very sad song. My father just passed about 6 months ago. Make you think a lot about life and how short it really is. I esp. Love the part when she says funny how when your dead people start listing. That is so true. I used to blow off and ignore what my father was telling me about life, school, ect... now I try to remember all he had ever said.

This song is good.My dad passed away almost 4 years ago 1-5-07.He is missed and will always be.He wrecked in an 18 wheeler accident.I miss him so much.I was only 9 when this happened.I still cry.People say it gets easier.It has but, its still hard.RIP my dad 1-5-07.Gone but never forgotten.

I have always loved this song, but recently I had forgotten about it. Then for a field trip, my band class went to The Alabama Music Hall of Fame, and we went to the recording studio. My friend Ashley is quiet, but she has a beautiful voice. The place plays your recording of your cover of a song through the whole place as you sing. Ashley actually went up and sang this, and it sounded just like this. I swear it was amazing.

My 12 y/o daughter is obsessed with this song. I finally took the time to listen to it all the way through, with the lyrics. I went as far as to watch the video of how the song came about. Since my daughter lost a dear friend less than a year ago, I'm sure it has a lot of meaning to her. It's a beautiful song, but as a mother, it makes me cry.
