How to Brew Large Batch Black Tea for Bubble Tea Shop
In this video I will show you how to brew a large concentrated boba shop size batch of Black Assam Tea for those who own a bubble tea shop. I'm also listing conversions below, including if you're interested to simply make a strong single serve for my recipe videos.
The overall concept for my drink recipes is that you want your tea base to be a very strong concentrated brew, then add in the flavor ingredients, creamer, etc, for the drink you're making, and then you bring down the temperature and add in the volume from melting the ice. I have listed some of my recipe videos further below so you get a better idea for this unique one-of-a-kind concept.
Measurements:
Full Batch
❤️ 125 grams Assam Black Tea (USA = 4oz*) *note you're measuring the weight of the tea, not the volume.
❤️ 5 liters of 85 celsius Water (USA = 1.32 gallons) (185 °Fahrenheit)
Half Batch
❤️ 62.5 grams Assam Black Tea
❤️ 2.5 liters of 85 celsius Water (USA = .66 gallons) (185 °Fahrenheit)
Small Batch
❤️ 31.25 grams Assam Black Tea
❤️ 1.25 liters of 85 celsius Water (USA = .33 gallons) (185 °Fahrenheit)
Single Serving
❤️ 2 heaping Tbsp Assam Black Tea
❤️ 200ml of 85 celsius Water (USA = 6.75oz) (185 °Fahrenheit)
If you are using a Black Smokey Oolong tea, the recipe will be exactly the same, just switch out the teas.

Thank you for the video! I was wondering, what type of oolong do bubble tea shops usually use? I've tried making my oolong milk tea using regular oolong I get at the store, but it never has that strong roasted flavor like at the shops
