I met Jewel once in Houston, TX at a local coffee shop. She was performing a late night show following her opening performance for Peter Murphy (of Bauhaus). I’d seen her opening act and she was so surprisingly fresh that I went to check her out again. After her set she sat and talked with me for a while and even drew some funny mouse pictures on a napkin. Never had any idea she’d later be such a hit. What I do recall is how genuine and sincere she was and apparently still remains.

🤓Jewel is so intelligent and interesting. I can relate to her approach in life. It's logical. It's mathematical, like solving for x in algebra.
I've dealt with my own mental health issues. I became so much more self-aware in order to monitor my health.
Life is full of choices. You have to make the choices that are right for you regardless of what others think. Kudos Jewel. You're cracking the code.

34:04 I LOVE this part!!! She’s SO right, and it’s so ironic, and in some ways hypocritical!lol not on Jewels part, put the people that think what she’s talking about!!
