I watched this movie just a few days after those horrific earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. It just broke my heart!!!!!!! It's an excellent movie, kind of documentary, that's why you identify with the characters so much!!!!!! I' m devastated by the magnitude of disaster some people are destined to experience!!!!!!!😥😥😥😥

The elderly woman in 36:52 is such a warmhearted, lovely soul. Truly a kind of woman, the world needs, the supportive kind who provide some TLC. Cheers!

I have acelebrity freind who was in the Northridge Quake on 31.1.94,it destroyed his home at 4.31am,he lived in Sutton Place,Sherman Oaks,California at the time.He said he smelt gas so he found all the flashlights and went and turned off the gas and resciue his dogs who were trapped in the kitchen,he managed to get out uninjured with his wife and baby daughter and his dogs at the time. After making certain everyone was okay,he went to help his neighbours before he and his family went to live in the Beverly Hills Hotel for 6 months while his home was repaired, his animals went to live with other family members for 6 months. He said in an interveiw some time later that itcost him five million dollars to get that house fixed. After the house was fixed they lived there while they looked for another home elsewhere, eventually they found a nice home in Encino in California, where he lived from 1996 to 2013 before moving to Calabasass in 2013 to a smaller home which is where he lives now.

I love disaster movies and this is, hands down, the best I've seen. It was about an earthquake and the "Aftershocks" and that is exactly what it was, not a love story, no little subplots other than what happens with the people throughout. Very well acted and realistic! Thank you, I wish they were all up to your talents!

The people look real, just normal people going about their day before everything went wrong. Their reactions were all so genuine, no great heros, no super villians. The scene at the pharmacy was heartbreaking. That office was so tragic. And the people running the distaster relief, especiall the lady, were so admirable. It felt like a documentary and a horrible memory at the same time. Totally genuine.

Gritty, realistic, not sugar-coated. I knew right as soon as the quake hit that the s ript was written by informed writers because workers were dodging under tables, the correct action. Another earthquake movie I recently watched had the main characters jumping onto their huge bed situated next to a a floor to ceiling plate glass window- a script written by the clueless. Job well done on this movie. Thanks.

Excellent film. I experienced Sylmar quake in 1971 and Loma Prieta quake in San Francisco area in 1989. I was in safe places both times, but surrounded by injuries, death, and incredible property damage. All I can say is this... think about what you will do in a major disaster event..., plan ahead, always have minimal preparation in place (water, warmth, pharmaceuticals)

What a beautifully written and authentic movie. Thank you my cross Tasman cousins for showing us how disaster movies should be made. No Hollywood bravado, just real people and real stories.
