These guys are what every tech company should be like. Clearly passionate about capability but also user experience. The way each interface reveals more parameters (playstation basic motion control, phone app for more detailed settings and the web UI for full granular tweakabilitity) shows off a rare design vision. I honestly thought this system would be in the tens of thousands. There doesn't seem to be any artificial feature locking either, just "we were able to implement this cleanly, so we did"
With the modularity and use of RJ45, i could see them selling the motors individually so people could rig up their own custom mo-co jib cranes. I hope these guys do well and shake up the slider/gimbal industry with a new level of competent engineering and design

Nodal point is the term you are looking for. The adjustments of the pan/tilt make so you can center the nodal pount of the lens so it stays in the same location regardless of the pan or tilt angle.

I have the PT4 system here in the UK. Excellent system. I had the unusual requirement of needing to control the iris on a camera 2km away from video control. I rigged the PT4 controller adjacent the lens, attached their zoom motor to it and controlled the lens 2km from my laptop using the venue's ethernet. Amazing.
