TODAY | A POEM © Liam Pete Christopher November 3, 2023 Dedicated to Miyah Nicole *Song on loop when written. TODAY | A POEM ---- Strong enough for what? Just to have to do it? What good is it gonna do? Did anyone think of me, well did you? I don't think anyone understands, what I just had to do. Just ask yourself how you can repay me. How much of my future is now in your hands? I love you. When I say you, I mean both. Somehow, no matter what. I had no choice but to be wrong. Lot of good got done today. Seriously, just look at it this way. I sent everyone back to their corners. To bad there were no winners. Now you can just sit & think. Was all this mess really worth the stink? I don't even like this fuckin song. Tell me something, will your ego hold out long? I did the best thing today. At some point someone has to tell you when your dress is torn. It's up to you if your stitch it or throw it away. Strong enough to do the job, of others. Seems today I am stitching up mothers, and brothers. Words won't be enough. Solving this will be rough. Owing the wrongs, tough. To forgive the wrongs, tougher? This guy writing, barely helping. I guess maybe the thought counts. I guess at least he took the time to notice. This really ain't easy. I did take the stand for what was most right. I think someone should fucking notice. But for now I'll let it go. All cried out for the moment. Face puffy, eyes swollen. This day was cold as snow.
