Anyone notice this song is still very cool. It sounds as great today as it did decades ago. It never gets old and I never get tired of hearing it. The mark of a great performer.

I was visiting my dad a few months ago and after getting back to the house after seeing friends, I found him in his room and he had passed. My world was quickly flipped upside down. I knew his nickname years ago was Mack, but my older sister told me today that his full nickname was Mack the knife. I thought that was so cool. I’ve always loved this era of music and style, wish other people my age and younger could appreciate it. Turning 29 soon

Excellent. Nobody can sing this better than Bobby. It's very sad he died at such a young age. However he left us with some great songs. None of which is better than this one.

If you look up the word "cool" in Webster's, you'll see a picture of Bobby Darin. Nobody could TOUCH him. Wow!

The only man to ever sing "Mack The Knife" with exquisite perfection and exceptional justice is Bobby Darin himself.... Bobby Darin always did everything with 1,000 percent perfection, this young man was a total genius and brilliant entertainer... Bobby Darin out shone Sinatra, totally leaving him in his wake..... Bobby Darin style done only as the man himself could do it, in exceptional brilliance...... There will never be another brilliantly talented man the likes of Bobby Darin, his style and calibre.... The day Bobby Darin (WRC) was born the mould was tossed away, as we continue remembering Bobby he lives on forever... REST IN ETERNAL PEACE BOBBY DARIN YOU ARE DEEPLY MISSED, TRULY LOVED, REMEMBERED ALWAYS & FOREVER MORE.

December 20, 1973 - American singer Bobby Darin died aged 37. One of the first teen idols, he had the 1959 No.1 with “Dream Lover” plus 20 other US Top 40 hits during the 60's including “Mack the Knife”, (Grammy Award for Record of the Year in 1960).

For the 60 who voted thumbs down, guess you don't like this music or talent. Bobby Darin died so young, at the age of 37. I use to sing along with him on this song when I was a kid. Found memories when both my parents were still alive. Micheline Kribs Rolla,MO

I'm searching for Bobby turning around after he finishes , turns his back and slowly disappears into dark as he fades away . Class act .

Love it! One of my favorites of his. Gone but not forgotten. Died way too young.
