Love the outtakes and the banter when Carrie contradicts Brian. We have long done slow travel, but we did a two week of fast travel with a couple who didn’t have much time. Not doing that again.
Fast travel got us out of our routine of catching up and reading first thing, hitting the gym mid morning, lunch, then touring/volunteering/pickleball in the afternoon. Like you, we usually eat in with an occasional evening meal out. All mirroring our routine back home.
Not an Instagram user but will be curious where you head next now that you are close to your 90 days in Europe.

Wow fantastic video! So great to hear that you guys did a few off camera vacay days just for yourselves!❤ The cost breakdowns were really fascinating and although you mention that roughly $3000 a month was high for you I couldn’t help think that $3000 (or more) is what some of us pay just for monthly rent/mortgage! Hearing that this amount might be considered expensive was actually pretty encouraging especially with as much as you both did in those two months! Thanks a ton for sharing!

Dandy of a video. 😀 Getting one of those 1 Euro houses in Puglia is one of my fantasy retirement scenarios (maybe 4th or 5th). Great access to southern Italy and a fairly short hop over to Greece. Hopefully, there will be some carbs left. Great info.

I do want to add something about the gluten thing. My mother was seriously celiac, she had a MUCH easier time finding gluten free pasta and pizza in Italy than she does in the states. The menus are very clearly marked. AND people who work in restuarants took cross contamination more seriously. As for the carb thing - I would tell people to eat whatever they want - eat like the Italians. They live WAY longer and healthier lives than us. In fact, I would recommend dropping any American "diet" you may want to keep, and just eat like Europeans - smaller portions, better, more filling food, and more walking.

I was planning on visiting Italy soon, but after Brian ate all the delicious carbs there, I have to wait until Italy restocks! Excellent video guys! You deserved the vacation in between trips.
