This song is exactly what i feel for my parents. My mom passed away 5 years ago, she wasnt scared of death but worried for my father feeling all the pain and heartache. They're both madly and deeply inlove with each other that lifetime isnt enough. My dad still cries everytime we talked about her and those memories. I feel like half of him died when my mom passed away.

I come from an Asian country. From childhood until I grew up, I hardly felt too much love in my family. My father has many bad habits that make my mother and other family members very uncomfortable and angry. And my mother said that if it weren't for fate, she wouldn't have married him. Like what I said, there are actually times when they still care very much about each other and their family. So maybe when they got married, they weren't rich, and when I was born, things weren't any better, so they were always busy with work and forgot how to love and treat each other more gently. . . Maybe I have such a family so maybe I don't really know how to express what true love is. When I heard this song, I was really emotional. I wish I could meet someone who truly understands and helps me love that much. I wish I had a family with children born from the love of their own parents. The song is really good, thank you very much.

Iām 30 years old. My parents got divorced when I was 14. They hate each other so much. When I invite one to my house I canāt invite the other one. They donāt know how much that hurts.
I met my husband when I was 15 and we got married at 18. We are still in love & best friends since day 1, but if someday that changes and we have to go our separate ways Iāll make sure to still be his friend regardless, for my children.

To everyone listening, who didn't have a father, who doesnt know what this is like at all, my heart goes out to all of you. My father wasn't around when I was younger and I grew up saying I would be the exact opposite; loving, engaging, there at every step. And I've tried my best to be and hopeful my daughters (age 31 and 22) feel constant love and encouragement in their lives/hearts.
But - to the rest of you who didn't have that - I want you to know our father upstairs is the one who counts, who loves you, who put you together in the womb and cherishes every breathe you take. He showed me love when no one else did, and hopeful he does the same to you. Sit down, pray to him, and I know he will be with you, close up that lonely feeling, that fatherless feeling, and fulfill a great life for you. He has for me... and I've broken the curse of a fatherless family... you can too!

I wanna come home to roses
And dirty little notes on Post-its
And when my hair starts turning grey
He'll say I'm like a fine wine, better with age
I guess I learned it from my parents
That true love starts with friendship
A kiss on the forehead, a date night
Fake an apology after a fight
I need a man who's patient and kind
Gets out of the car and holds the door
I wanna slow dance in the living room like
We're eighteen at senior prom and grow
Old with someone who makes me feel young
I need a man who loves me like
My father loves my mom
I want a road trip in the summers
I wanna make fun of each other
I wanna rock out to Billy Joel
And flip our kids off when they call us old
He'll accidentally burn our dinner
And let me be the Scrabble winner
And when my body changes shapes
He'll say, "Oh my God, you look hot today"
I need a man who's patient and kind
Gets out of the car and holds the door
I wanna slow dance in the living room like
We're eighteen at senior prom and grow
Old with someone who makes me feel young
I need a man who loves me like
My father loves my mom
And if he lives up to my father
Maybe he can teach our daughter
What it takes to love a queen
She should know she's royalty
I need a man who's patient and kind
Gets out of the car and holds the door
I wanna slow dance in the living room like
We're eighteen at senior prom and grow
Old with someone who makes me feel young
I need a man who loves me like
My father loves my mom
I need a man who loves me like
My father loves my mom

My Dad was killed in a plane crash (military) when I was 6 years old (I'm 65 now) and my mother never remarried. She had a picture of my Dad on her nightstand all my life. She passed away recently as I whispered to her that she would soon be reunited with her precious husband, the love of her life. She never stopped loving him and this song gave me the sense of what life would have been like had they had their whole life together! Thank you, thank you, thank you for filling an incredible place in my heart with your words and music!
