Issues with damp that extensive can't be a new problem of which the owners/management agency weren't already aware existed. If there were no visible signs when you inspected the home prior to leasing, it simply means it was deliberately covered over. Unless or until the root causes are discovered and properly repaired ( foundation, roof leaks ect.), it will be never ending. And please keep in mind, for any surface you've seen with damp and/or mold, there is SIGNIFICANTLY more mold that exists behind the wall that's not visible. Scrapeing and repainting the surface is nothing more than a cosmetic "fix". You need to ask the owners to hire an angency to test the interior air for mold content or hire one yourself. This quite possibly could turn out to be an incredibly unhealthy environment for you all. It needs to be tested to be sure whether or not it's safe for habitation.

Liana remember - just because it could be worse, doesn't mean it isn't hard right now ❤ you're allowed to feel overwhelmed

Think of how much you have learned. If everything goes smoothly how do we obtain wisdom? The insight and skills you have acquired through these little setbacks have had a profound effect on the two of you. Your knowledge on vans, carpentry, problem solving, legal issues, not to mention all your wonderful adventures with Dave have prepared you for handling so much of whatever life may deal you later on. Adulting isn't always easy but you two are doing amazing.

My fiance is a contractor---said if it's only when it rains, you need a new roof. If it stays damp at all times, it is likely leaking pipes (could be the size of a pinhole even). After you find and fix the source, you need to spray bleach on the mold to kill it and then run a dehumidifier to get rid of the excess remaining moisture. Also if your home isn't insulated well enough, it could be hot outside cold inside causing condensation to form. I hope this helps! Sending good luck from Tennessee ❤ Y'all got this!

This is one of the few channels I've seen that is actually open and honest about how stuff can be crappy at times. It honestly makes me feel so much better considering it shows shared human experiences. ❤❤ Thank you xx 😊

I feel so bad for these guys, they've gone through so many hardships and are being the best they can right now and the fact that they still find the time and energy to make videos for us even when they have so much going on in their lives just goes to show how sweet these guys are. Thank you Connor, Liana and of course little Koazy for always being in our lives and making our days/weeks better whenever you upload. ❤❤ Hope you get well soon!!

As much as I’ve followed all your channels religiously for about 18 months after finding you on a YouTube short. I love all your content and I think I’ve watched every single video you’ve ever posted multiple times going right back to day 1. This is the best video you’ve ever posted. It’s so genuine, not catchy clickbait titles, no exaggerated drama. Just completely humble and real life view point. Day in the life of the Darlington type content. This video is perfect, please post more like this. We all want more home life stuff and we definitely all want more koazy too so this video hit the nail on the head exactly right. Keep it up guys ❤ I even remember the first short never saw of yous. It was lianas daily routine with the fake tan and a song dubbed over. Can’t remember the name of the song tho 😂 but she did tan and then baked a cake and had a green jumper and white dress on 😂

Hi loves! I had damp in my house early this year. Couple things: If you’re worried about health get a blood toxicology test done a PCP (your normal doctor) can order it for you. As for the problem…look at your roof. All the locations you showed would have foundational joints that reach the roof. The attic or head space should really be checked. It was a 8k dollar fix for us, but we essentially ended out with a new roof. You should normally treat the molded spaces with bleach and after it dries out use a sealant paint meant for areas with high humidity (hopefully that’s the paint they used for you)

Maybe it’s time for Koazy to have a booster chair to sit at the table with you two? 🥰 That’s what I did with my kids at about Koazy’s age and it helped keep them confined and let them feel more independent while still letting them be part of family meals. They get easily distracted at that age so it was nice to have them in one spot until mealtime was over:) just my two cents as a mom of a 17 & 13 yr old. 🥰

My husband is a maintenance engineer and he suggests the following: 1. The fireplace appears to be rising damp or a simple leak from the chimney. 2. In the bedrooms, that is more than likely condensation. This can be solved by ventilating the room ie open the window or buy a dehumidifier. 3. If you have a humidifier in the house get rid of it. Limit any damp clothes that you dry in the home to minimise moisture levels.

So sorry you guys are dealing with all of the mould. In New Zealand, we have a terrible leaky home crisis, so mould problems are so common. Feel you on the daylight savings front, because we deal with that too. I absolutely love watching your videos, and I hope that you can get things sorted with the damp issues. Your accents are so calming!

Liana, I so wish I could give you a big hug rn (not that you'd want one lol), I can see how overwhelmed you feel. There's a saying, "when it rains, it pours" that really sums up everything y'all are going thru. Sometimes all we can do is just have a good cry and then carry on. Please take care of the mold and mouse problem soon. Mold can cause many health issues and airborne mouse allergen can cause asthma in children (and make Connor's asthma worse). When my babies were teething they loved popsicles and frozen bananas. Even a teething ring that's been frozen helps. You and Connor are so great with Koazy, I loved the baking bit. Sorry for the long comment! I hope you all feel better soon 💜💛💜

You two are such beautiful and amazing parents and humans. Koazy is going to grow into a respectable and kind-hearted man because of the two wonderful parents he have supporting him ❤❤. Been watching you both from the start. So proud of where you've both come.❤

I grew up in a old farm house with no heating except coal fires (was the 90's), we use to frequently have mould growing. Was caused by humidity/warmth with no ventilation. Id' suggest you look into dehumidifiers, maybe even a couple for the size of your home and increase airflow through your home. Your dermatitis will be made worse from the black mould along with causing any cold like illness (like you mentioned) along with the potential of triggering an asthma attack. You really need to get in touch with the landlord - not safe for any of you three! Take care of yourselves and i really hope you get things sorted - such a beautiful looking home.

I love that you guys are sharing this experience. Me and my fiance just moved into a house that has problems as well. This is the 5th time weve moved in the past 5 years. It seems like everywhere we move has some issue it is truly frustrating. I hope you guys get things sorted soon as possible <3 i think you guys sharing this can help others going through something similar
