The Killers grabbed rock by the shirt collar when they blasted outta Vegas in 2004 with the instantly impressive 'Hot Fuss.' Brandon Flowers' passionate vocals roared in front of the band's explosive moves, and "Mr. Brightside" came on like storm. Our 'Watch This' series has artists glance back at their most significant music videos, adding insightful commentary and key insights about the shoots themselves or the career impact of the videos at that time in their career. We invited The Killers in to chat it up a bit about some of their important vids, and Flowers and Ronnie Vannucci took some time to recall a few of their best-known titles. So far we've addressed "Mr. Brightside," "When You Were Young" and "Bones." Today, it's "The Man," from 2017's 'Wonderful Wonderful.' Interesting. I've always read the video as being different points in time of the same man's life: He used to be a daredevil superstar who had a terrible accident, forcing him out of the business, so he turned to being a Vegas showman; but that was hardly successful, so he obsesses over what he used to have and can't get over it. Over time he makes increasingly poor decisions as he spirals while trying desperately to cling to being "the Man", but ends up kicked out and tossed aside in every instance, left only with himself and his choices.
