Elton’s second concert at London’s Royal Festival Hall was an opportunity for him and his band to perform their newly-recorded album Honky Château in its entirety for the very first time.
Honky Cat (Live from the Royal Festival Hall, 1972), comes from the 50th Anniversary reissue of Honky Château, the album that brought you Rocket Man. Releasing on March 24th 2023, a newly created selection of outtakes from the original session demos, and unseen photos and memorabilia from 1972 have been unearthed.
