IƱaki Godoy (Luffy) was even coached by the old Luffy's VA in the anime: Mireya Mendoza. The latter is also one of the directors and translators of the live-action dub in my language.

This is what Avatar needed to learn for live action. Making it for mature audiences doesn't mean make it dull, lifeless and humorless. OP tackled far darker topics than Avatar ever could yet u never feel exhausted with constant preaching, wooden expressions or characters or the excessive attempt to sound serious. One Piece is the only show can make u laugh uncontrollably and cry ur eyes out in mere 10 mins. That's what called strong writing and live action kept the soul alive. No matter how much anyone feels they will copy the success, it won't happen until they learn to make live actions to "add" to the masterpiece instead of "correct" the masterpiece with agendas.

This show jist remind us of how beautiful to have dreams and friends. Too bad that as we grow older we kind of forget how we used to had dreams and. Damn, even we don't have time to even said hi to our friends cause we got to busy with our own world and work. Glad to have they adspted this part of the anime. We need season 2 and my boy CHOPPPAAAAA!

I was glad we got to see Nami get her tattoo after Arlong took her, they never showed it in the anime show. they only showed Nami after she got the tattoo and was made the map maker of the Arlong Pirates
