The aviation award is such a puzzle,why on earth would they give it to someone who couldn't fly because they had failed their exams.Whoever decided on this is an embarrassment.

Ricky Gervais was spot on with his “jokes” about the celebrities. Those of us watching the presentation that year were more appreciative than the celebrities. Their penchant to infuse such a ceremony with their politics and petty barbs has caused the viewership to go way down. All Gervais was doing was calling these celebrities out on their misbehavior. I found his monologue hilarious. I decry Hollywood, but the fact that Hollywood is now mocking the gruesome twosome tells me all I need to know about Markle and Harry. When even Hollywood scorns them, they are truly losers!!

I knew Neil Armstrong socially. He was a private, intelligent, unbelievably modest man. His status as an American hero is solidified throughout this country. He was a brilliant pilot and talented engineer. I am utterly disgusted that Harry’s name is even being mentioned, much less “ awarded,” along side this great American. All because William, Prince of Wales, wrote a forward to what sounds like an absolutely wonderful book about distinguished Sandhurst alumni.

We’re a little confused in the UK as to why The Duke of Sussex is being given an award for being a pilot, as he was never a pilot – he failed the examinations not just once, but twice.
Perhaps you were mistaking him for his older brother, William, The Prince of Wales, who DOES hold a pilots licence and served 159 missions with the Royal Air Force’s Search and Rescue Team, helping to rescue 149 people.
The Prince of Wales then served with The East Anglian Air Ambulance Service, before retiring in 2017 to help his late Grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, with her official duties.
