If I understood well, I actually like Don Lemon's new approach of asking hard questions to the interviewees. That is one of the problems of cable news. They don't ask tough questions to the interviewees because they're afraid they will lose access to them and that the interviewees will not agree to do more interviews. The result is that you have all of these MAGA right-wingers talking bullshit without getting pushback from the journalists. Let's see how Don Lemon's new approach works. I hope it does.

I watched Donâs interview on his channel and I thought he did a superb job of questioning! Watching the part on DEI was interesting. I was in Information Technology from 1967 to 2013 and worked for many big corporations. We had DEI and I never encountered underperforming because of it. I did however watch how they navigated it to ensure their âguysâ got the job over people of color and their excuse was the their âguyâ was more qualified. I worked with two people of color that I learned a great deal from, were way over qualified and never got the positions they should have. So, this âqualified over DEIâ doesnât fly with me.

This is a really interesting conversation - if we take a step back from the Elon "firing", Don is a journalist and he is exposing the truth of an out of control CEO, media, free speech, a lack of respect for journalism and censorship, as well as retaliation. That is the real story here. I think Don is talking about this way too personally, a blessing in disguise - it's right time, right place - Don's interview brought to light how Elon is out of control and provides the public/businesses an opportunity to decide if they will be on Elon's platform and/or do business with him - he's proven to be unethical and erratic. The Truth always prevails, it may be uncomfortable and always requires courage to stand in integrity and challenges others who don't.

In my opinionâŚ. Elon Musk skyrocketed Don Lemonâs return. He brought main stream attention to his new show. What couldâve otherwise been a slow and steady start, has become a shot of adrenaline to Donâs new chapter. I donât pay attention to X, so I found out about Donâs show because of the hoopla created by Musk being a petty bitch. Now Iâm subscribed to Don on YouTube and watched his appearances on other YouTube channels (CNN too) and look forward to watching Don regularly going forward. Super excited!

So dishonest.
He did not insinuate that pilots of colour are less intelligent. Itâs not difficult to understand.
Say thereâs 100 people doing pilot training, and from that 100, 10 will become pilots. Then imagine 10 of that initial 100 are black. If thereâs policies where diversity is a requirement, then half of those 10 people of colour will have to be a part of the final 10 that gets the job. Therefore itâs impossible that the 10 folks from the initial pool of 100 who got the job will NOT be the 10 most competent.
Itâs really not that difficult to understand and anyone who pretends that itâs saying the minority folks are less intelligent are being misrepresenting on purpose.

So weird to me that Don and friends have no issue with creating revenue opportunities on X at the same time it platforms and promotes racist and anti-LGBTQ hate.
Also, after watching the Lemon/Musk interview, I was disappointed by how unprepared he seemed to respond to Musk's answers.
Also also, a bit weird that Kara doesn't address the cause for Lemon's firing from CNN â misogyny â at all.

Before I watched Don Lemons interview I had mixed feelings about Elon Musk, the interview confirmed what I already really thought. Elon is a giant bellend with some worrisome ideas and too much power and influence in the world. His egotism seeks praise from the general public, unlike other corporate CEO's who mainly keep their mouths shut publicly and avoid saying controversial things that harm their brand. He is also childish and thin skinned and not as clever as he thinks.

"All I'm saying..." -- Elon Musk. Elon, you're very influential. You shouldn't be saying things unless you're actually sure it's right. You shouldn't be joining this anti-DEI charade on your little hunches. If you really hate DEI, STUDY it and learn what it actually is before you send your little online army after it.

Really like Kara Swisher - she is the 'Bob Costa' of tech - gives the facts and her POV straight up w/o going all around the barn to explain something.
