All these years I've been watching Amoeba's What's in my bag series kinda hoping each time that someone would mention and/or sing "Amoeba" by the Adolescents for some reason, and here it is finally

I’m an old rocker always looking for things outside the main stream. Love The Linda Linda’s and I’m very impressed with their choices and their knowledge on the current music scene. When I first heard them I felt that the future of Rock was in very capable hands. Keep on young ladies.

Can't even express with words how this episode makes me happy. I've been seeing this series by Amoeba since my early adolescence, and see these girls kind of liking the same stuff that I get into when I was 14 (specially Sleater-Kinney!) is very beautiful. Today I'm very into SASAMI and Japanese Breakfast, and seeing this girls youth being presence by the good and classic punk from the 70s to the riot grrrl era and beyond makes me everyday of my life more hopeful in the future of music that I always dream of since I was their age and can't form a band for lack of opportunities.
