Tom has this beautiful ability to describe the overlooked or unappreciated aspects of life to adults in such a way where it's received as though they were children again. To simply put something so beautifully brings out the most sincere emotions. This is why Tom feels more like a friend than an artist to most of his fans (perhaps I'm just speaking for myself).
