Special thanks to Soledad Callo and David Young at Victoria High for the veliger footage that were mistakenly attributed to Dr. Page. Very sorry for the mix up! See the original footage here:    • Veliger Larvae of the Hooded Nudibran...

thanks to Patreon supporter Sydney Brown for the Pikachu Swiffer line that she left in a comment. Join the community! It's fun!

Hal Brindley: travel4wildlife.com/
Hal has an amazing vid of a botfly on his channel... sooooo gross.

Dr. Jeffrey Goddard: Marine Science Institute, UCSB; Midland School
William Goddard: Midland School
Dr. Goddard and his son were very generous with their time and footage! Gave me some great notes so I didn't get my facts bungled!
msi.ucsb.edu

Dr. Jamie Seymour: Tropical Australian Stinger Research Unit (TASRU)
Dr. Seymour has captured some of the most remarkable footage of nematocysts firing I have ever seen. Ptowwww.

Bocas Del Toro Research Station
Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute
Thank you to the Smithsonian and to Dr. Maria Pia Miglietta for the wonderful image of the unexploded nematocyst.

Dr. Louise Page : University of Victoria
Dr. Page's footage of the veligers (Melibe) were a lifesaver. I wish I had more time to spend on their fantastic lifecycle.

Dr. Leslie S Babonis : Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience
Dr.Babonis has the coolest job. Firing lasers to trigger nematocyst firing!

Phil Lemley    • Rainbow Nudibranch (Dendronotus iris)...
Phil was so generous to allow me the use of his attacking rainbow nudi...yeah the proctologist...

Dr. Marta Pola Perez (CIBC-UAM) Universidad AutĂłnoma de Madrid
Dr.Perez has looked at the possibility of self fertilization in Nudis - and you never know!

Costasiella footage courtesy of David Palfrey/Hydra Productions Film, Photo and Training, Indonesia
www.hydraproductions.com @hydra.underwater
David let me use his Shaun the Sheep slug footage, which is really some of the best footage I have seen of this cute slug.

WetTraveler : youtube.com/c/wettraveler
Pinneng was kind enough to share his Pikachu footage... Quick attack! Electric Shock!

Elyse Messick captured nematocysts firing as a student and I tracked her down on linked in!

"They can only see light and dark, so the nudibranch will never be able to appreciate the beauty of its own decoration". That made me think of Beethoven not being able to hear his own compositions.

We caught a Spanish Dancer at the beach yesterday, I still don't know how it got passed the tight netting which prevented fish from entering the swimming area, but it was there and we caught it. It was the most vibrant critter I've ever laid my eyes and hands-on. We figured that if anybody else saw it, they'd immediately report it to the lifeguards there who were notoriously unforgiving to any fish that slips through that safety net, let alone a rarely seen wild sea slug. So I swam as far as the nettings would go and gently tossed the lil' guy out to freedom...

If full length documentaries had this many jokes with such a calm voice I would absolutely spend upwards of $50 per movie to watch them.

"This one is perfectly camouflaged as an old man with his hands behind his back inspecting his garden."

This narration is perfect.

Please do one on the horrid things known was Coconut Crabs. They probably ate Amelia Earhart and look like face-huggers who wanted to be more colourful.

Wonderful presentation! I am on a journey to draw and paint all 3,000 known varieties! This made me laugh so much! I was SCUBA. Certified in 1975 in La Jolla and my favorite life form is still the nudibranch!

Sneezing in outer space sounds like a deadly experience. Imagine sneezing with nothing in your lungs while in space. People break ribs like that normally lmao
