I don't tend to believe in leaks. I'll wait until they announce something, and personally, I don't believe two years is enough to fully develop an animal crossing game. They just finished the Splatoon 3 DLC this year, so I doubt we're getting another game any time soon.

Sometimes I wish Animal Crossing would release for pc, and go all in on the online multiplayer aspect of the game. Hopefully console exclusivity becomes a thing of the past, and even Nintendo budges on this. They could sell so much more copies of their games if they opened it up to more platforms.
Animal Crossing on PC would be massive.

Animal Crossing World 360
- all game play mechanics from Wild World, New Leaf Welcome Amiibo, ACNH, HHD and HHP
- QoL improvements to all the original mechanics
- 360° camera
- much larger map
- enhanced item placements - free rotations, remove the grid for better item placement, planting freedom, lock/ unlock pathing and placed items
- more plants, fruits, crops, with limits of life and harvest for reason to buy starters and seeds and fertilizer from Leif
- more functions and purpose for villagers and NPCs - unlock more to do with each level up
- multiplayer with enhanced tailoring and options - travel places together, dream together, decorate and build together, play mini games, etc.
- custom item creation with online sharing, like the custom patterns mechanic but 3D items
- more mobility - jump, fly with glider, ride rides/vehicles
- quests to complete - for leveling up friendships with villagers and NPCs and earning special in-game objects, diys, recipes
- give all resources a purpose to exist in the game
- online player marketplace for players to trade and sell in game items
- continuous item, plants, fruits, flowers and creature updates until next game release - paid DLCs worth player purchases
- pets and animals - adopt/ purchase in game pets and farm animals, and get resources like milk, eggs, wool for recipes/diys
Basically, bring together all the gameplay mechanics of the most popular cozy games

I kinda want them to keep the cozy, small rural village vibes. 10 or a bit more villagers but with the option to choose how many villagers you want (so if you wanted 5 you’d have five villagers) the option to customize areas like residential services and more customization options. I don’t like big cities and big cars personally those things just feel unnecessary especially for a game that’s meant to be cozy and just- animal crossing? Id also like them to bring back some of the older things from older games like new leaf and bring new mechanics that matches the animal crossing feel. But this is just my opinion and I can’t wait to see what the franchise does next no matter what!

Nash Weedle is a well known leaker when it comes to Nintendo stuff, and is usually considered a more trustworthy one. Also in regards to the series, AC has had an anime adaptation before, so its not too crazy of an idea
