Not to sound cheesy or easily influenced but huberman really changed my life. Im 19. The changes arent mental they have manifested in my life.. and will continue to do so. Just one example- doing cold showers based on his information has done wonders for repairing my relationship with my mom and grandma. His bringing to light for me of the stress enhancing mindset has took me out of a 6 month depression. I could not face the work I had to face until I realized that I can utilize the stress instead of being debilitated by it. There are many more 🙏🙏🙏

Just had a 2-year checkup after Testicular Cancer. Still cancer free, thank God. I went in 2 years ago because I noticed a slow urine flow. It appears to have been unrelated, but that was the catalyst to me going in for further checks and finding the tumor in my testicle. During this checkup, my Urologist referred me to pelvic floor physical therapy (or something like that) to address the urine flow issue I originally went in for two years ago. Getting old sucks, but to anyone who is reading this - DO SELF CHECKS AND ASK YOUR DOCTOR IF SOMETHING ISN'T RIGHT! No amount of embarrassment is worth ignoring these issues. I'm still here for my kids, and hopefully will be for the foreseeable future because I asked. 40 yrs old yesterday.

I just want to express my gratitude to Prof Huberman and hope you will see this. I finally sleep after 3 decades of insomnia(!! from childhood) just by following the morning light-cold shower/ dark at night, no work at night advices. I knew of these practices before but understanding WHY it was important and mainly HOW it worked gave me the agency I missed and made all the difference. I can’t thank you enough and now recommend your podcast to everyone. Sending you all the gratitude.

Pelvic floor physical therapist here! So glad to see Dr. Malik bringing up how important it is to see a specialist like myself for pelvic floor issues. It's often not even something people are aware is an option available to them! I was especially glad to hear her talk about how kegel exercises can negatively impact symptoms if done either incorrectly or done in the wrong scenario. Many times when I've tried to tell people about pelvic floor PT online I get the question "can't I just look up some kegel exercises?" Which, I'm glad they're interested in doing exercise, but there are many scenarios where they can increase their symptoms and possibly bring on new symptoms as well so I'd never advise trying those exercises out on your own if you have access to other resources such as a pelvic floor PT. It's a very complex area of the body to teach people proper control of (I can't count the number of times I've asked people if they know how to do kegels, they say yes, and then it becomes apparent very quickly upon internal examination that they aren't doing a proper kegel or even kegeling at all). It's not impossible to learn, though!
Side note, I'm only about 35 minutes into this video as of writing this comment (may update it later if I have more to say), but in case Dr. Malik doesn't mention it, bedwetting is an area where a pediatric pelvic floor PT can be of great assistance! If a child is wetting bed past a typical age (past 7 years old is usually when this stops though not in all cases) a pelvic floor PT who treats pediatric populations can help with this! It's often just habitual education to the child as well as strategies to help improve their bladder control. This was the topic that got me interested in learning more about pelvic floor PT during my schooling as I was a late bloomer in that regard and would have appreciated knowing earlier on strategies and education to help me stop doing that earlier. So, I always try to leave education where relevant about this specific subsect of pelvic floor physical therapy, hope this comment helps any parents out there with children struggling with this issue!

Thank you so much for the Huberman podcast; it's the gift that keeps on giving! I've learned so much, and it would be great to hear from Dr. Rena Malik again, specifically about the tools and exercises. Even I am looking forward to more insightful episodes I hope Dr Huberman you are taking breaks.

This is a valuable video! Thank you both so much for having the gumption to discuss this stuff because it is so important. I'm 45 and getting a medically necessary partial hysterectomy next month. I sent this to my husband and it helped us have a conversation on what things may look like in the future and what we can do.
