Another absolutely infuriating detail that gets overlooked in the ending? One of those mindless fetch quests involves locating a device capable of detecting Reaper signatures. The story goes that you secure it and have it sent to the Crucible so that not only can it detect Reapers anywhere in the galaxy, but it can also SPECIFICALLY target THOSE signatures when the time comes.
This is such an enormous plothole that the community effectively had to just handwaved it away by saying the Reaper Code the Geth and EDI use is enough to get them targeted, despite the fact that nowhere in the game does it actually state that.
