I see two extremes going on these days - extreme lawfulness (legalism, following the Torah, those being a hypocritical Pharisee) OR extreme or hyper grace in so-called Christians. Accepting of everything, loose and presumptuous with sins, following false prophets and America will be great again (the false light prophets). Both sides pull out convenient scriptures to fit their doctrine or beliefs. One must interpret the scriptures in context - as you said, who is being spoken to, what are the circumstances, and what are the passages that precede and follow? Makes me very sad that people are running with their emotions these days but yet are hard-hearted towards God and the FULL counsel of His Word.
America will be judged very soon, they will fall, and some who do not immediately perish will either repent or will become more hard-hearted and angry towards God….
