The innocence of a child not understanding what's going on but still trying to use their imagination to ignore the outside pain that their parents inflicted by separating just hurts, the animation of him "Opening his imagination" but it slowly being ruined by the separation, and he desperately trys to go ignore it and just go to his happy place but the parents finaly break him at the end, breaks my heart

I can't listen to this without crying. This entire song is exactly what my parents' divorce felt like. I once used the line "I feel like the last toy in the toybox and my parents are fighting over me" to my aunt. That last visual where he zips himself in two... yeah it's that. It's exactly that.
But also don't think just because this song hits close to home that it's not a banger. I jam out while sobbing, and that's okay.

I can't describe how accurate this is to someone whose parents are together. However, I can tell you the lyric "And I don't wanna do it twice cause' it's not the same" is probably the one I related to most, because almost every single time you mention your divorced parents, the response is "Well at least you get two Christmases". 🙄 And my response is "Yep. At least I get two Christmases."

Honestly, that ending just hurts with how accurate the feeling it describes is. The video adds so much more to the song, unbelievable.
