If anything isn't accurate, blame my lead animator, he's the physics nerd behind this. Watch the reaction/commentary here: https://youtu.be/BdEpnici7Is

As a physics student THIS has to be THE greatest video I have ever seen on youtube. This will motivate a lot of people to explore physics.

The Cowboy hat was clever. At first I thought it was just a random aesthetic choice until I realized it also was there to contextualize TSC's rotational position in 3D space, since otherwise we wouldn't be able to tell what direction his body was facing unless the surrounding objects and environment were not symmetrical in shape, which most of them were.

The first half was a revision of my high school physics, and the second half was simply a cinematic masterpiece

You’ve seen destroying Minecraft with Minecraft and destroying Math with Math, but have you seen destroying Physics with Physics?

15:32 I love like in this moment you represented the Kardashev's Scale and different universes, and also Types of beings according to his Scale. Thank you a lot for this work and this moment in particular

i love how we are talking about physics here but not the fact that orange treated the rocket like a horse

As a physicist, this isn't a short film; this is a piece of art that is a perfect way to visually learn the world of physics.

As a guy who loves physics, I absolutely love this, from classical mechanics to general relativity, then quantum mechanics. Alan and his team are do amazing job at this

The only problem I can see (as a Kerbal Space Program player) is that they didn't make TSC/Orange orbit any planets. It showed him going up than instantly losing all gravity, which is not how it works.

Now do it with another subjects!!! (chemistry, biology etc) (Man, that magnetics part is SO AWESOME, i've studied that in school) Sorry, bad english.

From watching animator vs animation when I was a literal child to seeing this as an aerospace engineer, I thank you for creating one of the most top quality content that has ever existed on the internet during so many years

Argue with math, you get a dark souls boss fight Argue with physics and you get interstellar space travel

Bro... I'm tearing up, that was so beautifully done. Don't even get me started with the sounds and music... I'm honestly freaked out rn because I swear I've seen this exact video a long time ago... it feels so familiar... like home.

Please never stop doing these. Biology, Chemistry, Logic, History, anything you think you can display the concepts of with your teams incredible animation. Thank you.

"If only Physics was like this" That's the thing: It is, we just don't see it

The physics here seems mostly fine, with the most glaring errors being: Throwing a ball forward while on a frictionless surface would grant the thrower equal linear momentum to that of the thrown ball in the opposite direction. Upon stopping, the momenta of the thrower and ball would perfectly cancel and their joint center of mass would not have moved. That aside, neither the ball nor the stick man should have been able to come to rest on the frictionless surface to begin with. The magnetic acceleration system seems to be an ill-conceived coil gun? If the large magnet rings are spontaneously demagnetizing at the moment the rocket reaches their center, it works, otherwise, the force of the magnetic field pulls backward on the rocket just as hard as it pulled forward and the net momentum gain is zero.
