I went from never hearing of this singer to developing an appreciation for her sound and style that is the only kind of music I want to listen to. Its so easy on the ears, so soft and pleasant and soothing. I'm lucky to have a beautiful old school hi-fi stereo system in my home office with vintage Bose 601's that plays as beautifully at the lowest softest volumes as it does at the loudest. I can keep it very low and still hear every detail and nuance.

I remember hearing about Diana on NPR’s Midnight Music specials on Friday nights, this was the start of long appreciation for Jazz and Blues.
We had a wonderful bar in Orange County NY, called Pineapple Larry’s, some terrific music each Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights…
Many of the old Blues legends performed there, along with … Pat O’Shea and the Eldorado Kings.
There lead singer and harp player had a day job, but when you closed your eyes, you’d swear it was Little Walter, doing ‘ My Babe’ … what a great way to start my journey into the Blues.
They performed all different types of Blues, Chicago, Kansas City, Delta and more… mixing them up with some Jump & Swing Blues.
I have started collecting Vynil again, shame I lost or perhaps they were stolen record collection, nothing like those original Vynil’s, and the colored Import’s, there worth a small fortune today …
The Tower Record documentary is well worth watching, thanks YouTube !!!

Rather than hard-core jazz, it includes strings and focuses on mood. It clearly emerges as a harmonious one with the medium tempo music.
