as a woman who studies the roman empire for her degree, social media has been more than a little obnoxious lately lol. most of my professors who helped foster my love for ancient rome have been women and a good portion of the historians i've sourced for my papers have also been women. i'm convinced that people who think that ancient rome is a "guy thing" have no idea what the field of classics is actually like.
