So we decided to lock our phones in the hotel safe, pick up a pretty terrible map and rely on the recommendations and directions from the people we met along the way. This way, we presumed, we'd make a pretty authentic local guide to the best spots in Dublin.

Love your new concept of going back to the old ways of travelling without the technology distraction of smart phone (except of course your video cam for vlogging). I have stayed at the Dean in Dublin before and although the decor and vibe is great it's the worst hotel ever if you actually want a night's sleep because it's surrounded by night clubs that stay open till like 4am and you can hear literally everything. Because of that I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wants to have a decent night's sleep when in Dublin! There's a reason they give you ear plugs on your pillow! Nice Dublin review btw
