My friend, since Iāve come to you for so much help over the years, it warms my heart to be able to offer you help finally! Haha!! Iāve figured out that when I make freezer meals that have cheese on top, I put a layer of parchment paper before wrapping with foil so that when I fire that puppy into the oven (or ask one of the folks that looks like me to š) the cheese wonāt stick and it will even brown! I was so proud when I figured that out! Huge hugs from a Canadian kitchen sister šØš¦ā¤šØš¦ xoxo

Just a quick tip that I learned from a chef: Don't add salt to your scrambled eggs until they are completely cooked. It deflates the eggs, and they won't be as fluffy. I started doing that, plus using heavy cream instead of milk, and everyone says my scrambled eggs are the fluffiest and best they've ever had, LOL. Those pancakes that your kiddo was cooking looked SO delicious!!

The smartest thing you ever did was teach your children how to cook. My younger son, now 36 and autistic, can cook not only for himself but often fixes meals for both of us. They may not be perfect but they sure do save me time and effort. AND he knows how to wash dishes, do his own laundry and clean the kitchen and bathroom.

Just a tip from things I've learned from having cast iron for quite a while. Get your pan hot then add your oil Wait about a minute and then put your food in food will not stick then. Also never ever clean your iron skillets with Dawn dish soap. Use course salt. And water. That will keep the skillet seasoned and you won't have any stickage. Keep up the good work I love your show Love what you do love seeing all the kids.

Little tip to make cleaning your cast iron easierā¦Once emptied, leave them on the stove on low, add a few inches of water & and a few drops of dish liquid. Simmer the soapy water for a few minutes, scraping if needed, then drain, rinse & dry.
My cast iron doesnāt fit well in my sink so I find this way easier and faster. Works great if youāre ever using cast iron over an open fire too.

I watch you and I'm just amazed at how you do all you do. You always seem so calm and just go with the flow and are always adding more projects to your life. I would be so STRESSED out and exhausted and probably frustrated and no one would be able to live with me. You make it all look so easy and I'm sure it's not. Good job.

I love how you show the reality of big family life. There were times throughout my life that things did not go as planned and so we adjusted and moved on. I am so pleased to see that society is moving on to show reality and not the older versions of how "moms" should run a home. I know in my mom's day, it was stressful on women to have the "perfect" home. You are REAL which is important for today's mothers to see.
