I have played for funerals in church services for many many years I'm now retired and still fill in here and there and I loved of course all of the Lord of the Rings series I have the figures everything the calendar plates practically everything and of course the extended versions of the movies and one of the greatest compliments that I've ever had during my time of playing and singing for people during their times of gladness their sadness was singing into the West before funeral people absolutely loved it it was totally comforting to them and it's been a great comfort to me and it's going to be done at my funeral to it's a beautiful song Annie Lennox did a great job

This song by Annie Lennox was so perfectly a part of the ending of return of the King !
There is so much to this movie and it’s meticulous production and direction from every person involved in the making of this epic adventure story.
This song always lingers in the heart for those who were eminently involved in such an amazing production. No one could have surpassed what Annie Lennox did with this powerful song!

Remember this, people. No obstacle, no tragedy, can shape you as a person. The type of ideal world you want to live in starts with you. Live every day like it’s your last great adventure. Someday it will be. But remember that no matter where life takes you, there will always be unexpected surprises to comfort you. Always. Do your best, laugh often, and stay positive.

I buyed the bluray edition of LOTR with extended scenes. If you watch the movie with Fran, Peter and Philippa Boyen commentaries, Peter explain during this song that it was partially inspired by the premature death from cancer of 17-year-old New Zealand filmmaker Cameron Duncan whose work had impressed Jackson and his team.

This song sung by Annie and coupled with beautiful drawings of the actors in character held people in their theater seats for the ending credits of Return Of The King. Amazing.
