After escaping the zombie infested streets of Raccoon City, Claire Redfield finally makes it to the Police Station. Claire makes her way across the courtyard past the row of freshly buried graves, most likely the graves of fallen officers who died in the chaos of defending the Police Station from the hordes of the undead. As she runs down the cobblestone steps underneath the arch of the RPD entrance, her attention is suddenly hijacked by the sound of a sputtering helicopter propeller followed by a violent explosion about 30 feet ahead of her around the corner of the building. She quickly runs forward to investigate and arrives at the sight of a wrecked helicopter, engulfed in flames and deeply lodged into the police station's second floor wall.
