CLIP DESCRIPTION:
The raptor eggs are returned to their rightful owners in this tense exchange.

FILM DESCRIPTION:
Director Joe Johnston takes over the creative reins from Steven Spielberg for this third installment in the thriller franchise. Sam Neill returns as Dr. Alan Grant, a scientist who's tricked by wealthy couple Paul and Amanda Kirby (William H. Macy and Tea Leoni) into a fly-over of Isla Sorna. The object of their sightseeing tour is one of the Costa Rican islands populated by ferocious, genetically bred dinosaurs and the "site B" setting of Jurassic Park 2: The Lost World (1997). After their plane crash-lands, it's revealed that the Kirbys are actually seeking their teenage son, lost on the island after a paragliding accident. Trapped on Isla Sorna, Grant and his companions discover some painful truths the hard way. Among their discoveries: some of the scaly monsters possess more advanced communicative abilities than previously believed, the dreaded Tyrannosaurus Rex has a larger and more lethal competitor, and flying Pteranodons pose an even graver threat than some of their land-locked brethren. Jurassic Park III is the first in the series not to be based upon a novel by original author Michael Crichton.

The last raptor gave an ominous look that said "today is your lucky day"

I love how lifelike and intelligent these raptors are. The director actually cared enough to give these animals tons of different vocalizations and behaviors just for a movie. Brilliantly done.

0:49 Paul : "Get behind me." Raptor : "Hey! Pal! We're talking to the lady! Not you!"

0:49 theres a reason why the alpha female is choosing to investigate Amanda, because shes the only female of the survivors. Which is why I like how the Alpha also scares Paul back, the ladies are talking.

Whatever people's opinions have on this movie at least all can agree one one thing: These Raptors were the coolest. I especially like their soul-piercing bird eyes, like on an angry cassowary

Can't get over how badass the female design is. Also how the males are jumpy and erratic and she's just calm and regal.

It's quite remarkable what the passage of time does. During its release, it was pretty much overwhelmingly panned by critics and rejected by fans. 15 years later? The film now has a pretty large number of followers who really enjoy it!

The raptors in JP3 were, in my opinion, the best the raptors have ever been. They displayed so much more intelligence and communication to the point that you could argue that they had sentience. That level of intelligence, like when they played on human emotion when setting up a trap, is more terrifying and interesting than anything displayed by raptors in the other movies.

In some comments question arises: why the raptors didn't kill humans after getting the eggs? This is my theory: Billy said: Call for help. And Grant attempted that sound. Lets assume it did sound like a call for help. Then at 2:09 the raptors hear helicopters. Since they are pretty smart, they could have assumed that the call for help was heard and now other humans are on the way. Not wanting to risk the eggs in a  battle, raptors decided to withdraw. Also, I'm sure that like most animals, raptors kill when hungry or when territory threaten. Once they got the eggs back, they could have just left, having no reason to kill.

I remember watching this as a child at the cinema and my stepmum said to me "the most dangerous animal in the world is a mother" 😊

Anyone who hates Amanda should take a better look at this scene: she went from the screaming scared woman to the scared woman looking into the face of the Alpha Female Raptor head-on without screaming. She's learned and grown through her journey in this film and now understands this Raptor is exactly like her: wanting the safe return of her children.

2:29 To this day, I still love how the last shot of an animatronic Dinosaur from Jurassic Park III is of the Raptor and the first shot we ever saw of an animatronic Dinosaur in the original Jurassic Park was also of a Raptor. Full circle with the original trilogy. Awwww, I miss Stan Winston. RIP.

The raptors had more character development throughout this franchise than most of the characters in the movies

I just love how you can tell that the raptors on some level respected the humans. Think about that, these animals are intelligent enough to understand respect and demonstrate it
