Great video I have found that hand placement on the skull near the ears has better results during the quick rotation to midline. This allows for a strong hold that does not interfere with the mandible.

My neurologist performed this test on me and it caused a bad vertigo episode. I couldnā€™t keep my eyes open, and I nearly got sick.

How could you possibly focus on performing the examination when you are looking so deeply into Andreas eyes <3

The thrust should be a bit faster, on the order of >150*/sec. Additionally, it is suppose to be unpredictable. I tilt there head downward 20* then with a gentle oscillatory movement L / R with a sudden thrust one way (~20*), observe if there is a corrective saccade and return back to the oscillations and a then another unpredictable thrust to same or opposite side and change up the amount of oscillations prior to the thrust as well.

Not correct perfomed, you have to hold the head on lateral position after movement to detect catchup sacaddes !!!

@MedaPeutics

this test is not correct. A 2-3 second hold in the end position is needed before returning to center to detect sacaddic intrusions.

This is great but you want to go slow one way and then fast the other way. Here you dont have enough time to see retinal slip
