[FR] Un poème emporté dans une valise, qui parle de la mort, du passage quand nous quittons notre enveloppe… Il a pris corps un soir d’été, dans les années 1990, dans une petite chambre d’hôtel à Goa en Inde alors que Beñat Achiary, l’un des grands chanteurs improvisateurs basque et Pedro Soler le plus flamenco des musiciens français, sont en tournée là-bas. Le poème “Jantzi egokia bai…” écrit par leur ami, le poète basque Josean Artze, trouve ce soir-là sa musique, à travers les doigts magiciens de Pedro et l’envol des mille voix de Beñat. Tous deux semeurs de temps et d’étoiles, au plus « près du cœur sauvage », de leur dialogue intime, ils invitent dans ce chant odyssée, tous les absents aimés en leurs cœurs.

[EN] A poem packed in a suitcase, about death and the passage when we leave our envelope... It took form one summer evening in the 1990s, in a small hotel room in Goa, India, while Beñat Achiary, one of the great Basque improvising singers, and Pedro Soler, the most flamenco of French musicians, were on tour there. The poem "Jantzi egokia bai..." written by their friend, the Basque poet Josean Artze, found its music that night, through Pedro's magical fingers and the soaring of Beñat's thousand voices. Both sowers of time and stars, as close as possible to the "wild heart" of their intimate dialogue, they invite all the absent loved ones into their hearts in this odyssey song.
