Griffith Elementary students participated in WSSU’s 1st Christmas Reading Challenge over the break. The goal was to reach every elementary school student and create a love of reading in them. The reward was a day on the university’s campus as they saw the WSSU men’s and women’s teams take on Elizabeth City State University in some big-time basketball games. WS/FCS Cable 2 Photojournalist Kevin Wrenn shares the story of the big day, which included a performance from the Griffith step team, the Bulldog Stompers.
