Just to share something positive: I haven't been to a show in ages, but I saw Mastodon, Dethklok, and a couple other metal bands one time where I got into the pit. It was an indoor venue, and I got knocked off my feet. It happened just like that! Before my head could hit the concrete floor, several strangers grabbed me and hoisted me back onto my feet! It was amazing, the on-the-spot comraderie.

No lie, I literally brought up GWAR and metal concerts in general the other day. Things can get rough during a metal show but we pick each other back up. We might knock you back down but you will be picked back up and if you donât respect those rules someone bigger than you will do something about it.

Events should be safe and fun. It's not rocket surgery. Performers should make their 1st priority that their audience is safe and 2nd entertained. No reason anyone should expect to loose a life because they choose to see a live performance. Entertainment is NOT endangerment. It's a tragedy not only because of the needless loss of life but additionally the bad image given to responsible/respectable performers who invest in their craft as show people and performance artists.

When watching The Prodigy (and Iâve seen hundreds of bands) there was a huge crowd surge and my friend was on my shoulders. We both fell and genuinely, I thought I was going to die. I couldnât breathe, the crowd was surging backwards, forwards, sidewaysâŚit was horrible. I grabbed hold of someone and they put me in a headlock to lift me up - it was the only time I had to escape the crowd after that. And no disrespect to Prodigy, especially Keith Flint but absolutely nothing was done. People were crushed to fuck. When I saw Deftones, Mastodon, Dillinger Escape Plan - they stopped the show to make sure everyone is okay.
Seems like metal bands tend to care more about their fans than the likes of Travis Scott. He is totally culpable and this should go further than just a settlement.
