Jack The Ripper is a serial killer who meets no introduction. We all know him as the demon of Whitechapel, and it is now the most famous mystery of all-time. But, do you truly know everything there is to know about the case? Most importantly, do you know the victims that were taken from us during this tragedy?

This video is a documentary of all the victims lives, up until their deaths. Tonight we are going to give them the chance, to share their true story. Something they were never given in their lifetime, and still aren't given to this day. We will too attempt to figure out the identity of Jack, but in doing all of this, we hope to give you all a different perspective, on a case familiar to you all.

Oh how I could say so much about The Five that didn't make the video. About Polly being involved with the 1887 Bloody Sunday in Trafalgar Square, Mary Jane attempting to get expensive clothing back or more of Kates time as a chapbook seller. i could, but instead I'd implore you to read Hallie Rubenholds book. She goes into more detail then we could in six hours. She also has a podcast about the case called Bad Women that also gives a lot of detail. Lastly I'll be donating to a charity to help the homeless in London. Its the least I can do really. As the video says, farewell Polly, Annie, Elisabeth, Kate and Mary Jane. Instead of monarchs and empire makers, I'll remember you.

thank you for letting me voice Polly, giving a voice to the voiceless is important no matter when or why their story ended.

I am deeply disappointed that I hardly find videos about true crime like this; respectful videos about the people who truly matter; the victims. There is always two sides to a coin, and people constantly fail to ignore the human side of it, instead focusing on the monsters who commit such monstrosities. I'd be lying if I said I didn't watch videos about murderers myself, but I'd like to see more like this one too. Thank you for the research and hard work you have put into this. Rest in peace to Polly, Annie, Elisabeth, Kate, and Marie Jeanette.

I'm glad you mentioned the 5 women that have not been forgotten. I think of them as women who were brutally murdered.

Oh those poor women who has done nothing to deserve such a fate. Mary Ann “Polly” Nichols, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth “Long Liz” Stride/Gustasfdotter, Katherine “Kate” Eddowes, And Mary Jane Kelly/Emma, may you rest in eternal peace.

Brilliant video! It was an absolute honour to voice Kate and the whole thing was so incredibly well done, from the editing to the other voice acting. I’m glad I was able to be apart of this project!

Of all the Jack the Ripper videos I've watched, this so far is the only one who gave the women who lost their lives not just their names, but their tragic stories as well. It means a lot to have the women talked about as more than just victims of Jack. Much of these details I never even knew. I feel like a lot of serial killer fascination tends to gleam over those who actually honest to god lost their lives in horrible ways, as if to lighten the actual depravity of these monsters. So, thank you for this.

This video really shines a light on a major issue in the true crime community in general, not just with this case. True crime fans tend to really only focus on and find interest in the killers(and even idolize or romanticize, in some cases), which I can understand to an extent as criminal psychology can be quite fascinating. However, they often seem to see these things as a mere story, a form of entertainment, and not about sick people who murdered others in cold blood. Hardly are the victims of said killers ever mentioned or talked about in detail, which is something that irks me so much. Yes these killers can be interesting, but as you said, in reality they are nobodies. They are sick, twisted individuals who do not deserve our time of day and will one day be lost to time as they deserve to be.

The sad stories of 5 women who hit rock bottom, robbed of a chance of ever overcoming their demons. Thank you so much for sharing them. Like many others, I only thought of his victims to be names on a paper. I feel bad having gone so long without knowing the people behind those names.

The last ten minutes have managed to pierce right to the heart of the trouble with Ripperology. Indeed, it cuts to the core of what's wrong with the obsession with, and glamorization of, serial killers. I'm glad you took the time to actually tell the story of the victims--to give them back something of their humanity and dignity.

This was the best video I've ever seen about Jack The Ripper. Not even the documentaries I've watched were this informative.

Thank you for a fine, humane. and scholarly study of this notorious case. It stands up well in comparison with Sir Christophe Frayling's BBC programme of 1988, Shadow of the Ripper, which looked at the question through the lens of cultural history. The Ripper's rancid fame endures because it is a real life gothic horror story which happened in the middle of a golden age of gothic literature and drama. The first theatrical production of Jekyl and Hyde was playing at the Lyceum theatre in the Strand when the murders started. The theatre manager was Bram Stoker who published Dracula ten years later. The first Sherlock Holmes story had been published the previous year. And Oscar Wilde, we may presume was already thinking of The Portrait of Dorian Gray which was published in 1890.

Being Swedish I've always felt more connected to the murders because of Elisabeth. Been fascinated by the ripper-murders since I was 11. (which is now more than 30 years 😱)

I have also written about these 5 and said the same about them being real living breathing. That they had families. This was a well done and the most sympathetic towards these women who’s only wish was to survive

Ever since watching Lemmino's super detailed and great video of Jack The Ripper, I've seen so many other channels doing the same. Interesting to see how different channels present it all.

When I see the drunks in my town, I always wonder what pain in their life led them to it. I get that some just liked to drink and got hooked, but there will be so many with horrid stories that they numb away with the alcohol. And that is in modern times, so I can't imagine how these ladies felt back then. Thanks for sharing their stories.
